The Cottage is situated behind Ballinalacken Catstle on the coast road from Doolin or Lisdoonvarna to Fanore and Ballyvaughan. It is about 2.5 miles from Doolin and 3.5 miles from Lisdoonvarna.

From Limerick or Shannon Airport travel along the N18 into Ennis and then take the N85 from Ennis to Ennistymon and the N67 towards Lisdoonvarna (you travel straight through Ennistymon). Continue on this road (Coast Road) towards Fanore and Ballyvaughan, bypassing Lisdoonvarna. Approx. 3 miles after bypassing Lisdoonvarna you will come to Ballinalacken Castle on your right. Immediatley after the castle gates there is a turn to the right, take this turn the cottage will be on your right after another 0.5 mile.

From Galway take the N18 towards Ennis/Limerick/Shannon Airport. At Kilcolgan turn right onto the N67 to Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, Lisdoonvarna. At Lisdoonvarna follow the signs for Fanore (Coast Road). Approx. 3 miles after leaving Lisdoonvarna you will come to Ballinalacken Castle on your right. Immediately after the castle gates there is a turn to the right, take this turn the cottage will be on your right after another 0.5 mile.
You can also turn right in Ballyvaughan and take the coast road. After 16 miles you will come to Ballinalacken castle. The turn for the cottage is on your left just before the entrance to the castle.
